Lesson by Lesson Campaign Blog Posts:


Lesson 1: Monday 26th November 2012


This is the first blog of my campaign to record my progress throughout my campaign. In each blog post I will be recording my progress based on the actions that I have carried out and the work that I aim to do the following week in order to carry on progressively with this campaign.


So to begin with. Today I have completed 2 flat plan drafts of a logo for my campaign. I have analysed these logo's giving comments on why I have drawn the images and why I will  be using the certain colour scheme and how they help convey the aim, message, and target audience for my campaign. It also helps the audience know what aspect of online safety I will be campaigning about; cyberbullying. These mock up drafts of my logo eventually helped me ro decide on what I was going to stick with. Using feedback from my powerpoint pitch and my questionaire I decided to use the name screen savers and I created a final logo which I loaded and finished on Photoshop.


This final logo is the logo that I will produce on any other aspects of my work. When I make a poster or my website I will use this logo to help represent and convey the aim, message and target auidence of my cyberbullying campaign.


My aim for next lesson is to try and complete 2 draft pla posters for my campaign and using feedback from my pitch and questionaire and my own initila ideas, produce one final poster on photoshop which will be the poster to convey the aim and message of my campaign. This is the first amount of progress I have made towards the production side of my campaign.

Wednesday 28th November 2012 Campaign update:

Today I managed to design one draft plan out of the two that I need to do for my campaign poster. I included the conventions needed to make a successful poster such as the action line, logo, slogan, main picture and text title. By including these as well as the images used and the color scheme it should help highlight the aim and target audience for my campaign.
Furthermore I analysed this poster to identify the aim and target audience as well as the conventions needed for the poster, this will help me and my audience understand why the conventions on my poster are needed to support my campaign.
My plan for next lesson is to try and complete the other poster and analyse it as well as deciding on a final idea and producing this final poster idea in Photoshop. I will add copies of my draft plan posters as well as the final poster to my coursework folder.


Lesson 3 campaign post: Monday 3rd December 2012

In today's lesson I continued with my Draft Plan posters. In the previous lesson I completed and analysed one of these poster and today I have done the same. Now I have 2 posters that have been analysed and completed. Furthermore I have decided on the idea for my final poster an will hope to do this next lesson.

I hope to have finished my final photo shopped poster for my campaign then I would  have completed nearly all of the production tasks. Next lesson I will design the photo shopped poster and add it with my draft plan posters to my coursework folder. I also hope to achieve my reflection post blog which will be uploaded onto blogger once I have finished all of my other tasks. Once that is done I can move on to other tasks and continue to update my progress of my campaign onto blogger.


Lesson 4: Campaign Post Wednesday 5th December 2012

In today's lesson I successfully finished my campaign poster on photo shop. There is some room for improvement on the poster but I am quite satisfied with the quality of the poster and the way it has come out as it illustrates the aim message and target audience of our campaign and this was our initial aim and idea of our campaign. There are a few more tasks that I will need to complete in order to further success my campaign. With the amount of work I have done I have made some steady progress.

Next lesson my aim is to analyse logo's of online safety campaigns and identify why they are so successful and this analysis will help me to realize what I will need to do help make my campaign more successful  These are my tasks for next lesson to further make progress on my campaign.


Lesson 5: Campaign Post: Monday 9th December 2012

Today I have made progress with my campaign. Today I have successfully analysed 2 logos based on cyber safety to help me with my production work of producing my logo. From the logos that I have analysed I have taken some ideas that will help to improve my campaign logo. And I hope that in doing this it will make m campaign more appealing to my target audience and will also benefit me in the ense that it will help to convey the aim and message of my campaign.

For next lesson I am hoping to finish the production side of my campaign by writing my final reflection post then I can make further progress and continue with y campaign further. So then I would have finished all of the aspects needed in the production side of the campaign, as well as these ongoing blog posts at the end of every lesson.


Lesson 6: Monday 17th December 2012

In my previous blog I mentioned that I would be creating my reflective post, however last lesson I was given my grade for my research tasks and learnt that I needed to complete and improve some aspects of my research tasks. So this lesson and in my own time, I have carried out the actions nessicary to improve my grade for the research aspect of my campaign. I have analysed 3 newspaper articles, as welll as uploaded my Focus group to gain further information on what to do to improve my campaign. i have also analysed the feedback from this focus group.

So now I am on track with my research part of my campaign and only have to complete my reflection post, as well as these ongoing blogs, before continuing and moving on with my campaign after the Christmas holidays. Next lesson my aim to make further progress with my campaign is to complete my reflection post then comment about the work i have done throughout my lessons in these ongoing blog pages.


Monday 7th January 2013: Lesson 7 Campaign Post

In todays lesson we were told that we had to create a further poster so that we would have 2 campaign posters each for our campaign. I have dismissed my original poster design and have redesigned my posters to help better my campaign. I have successfully finished one of these 2 campaign posters.

For next lesson my aim is to complete the other campaign poster as well as to re draft my draft plan posters. I also aim to try to complete my poster treatment to clearly indicate what posters I am submitting to help convey the aim and message of my campaign and help to make my campaign more progressive.


Lesson 8: Campaign Post: Monday 14th January 2013

In today's lesson I have made further progress with mu campaign. The tasks that I have been able to complete today have helped my production side of my campaign. I finished my poster treatment which describes why I used the posters that I am designing as well as what they will feature and what the aim of it is as well as the strategies used. Moreover I have completed 2 re-drafts of my flat plan posters to match the changes that were needed and I have annotated it to give understanding for the devices used. E.g the images and the color scheme.

For next lesson my aim is to complete the poster design on Photoshop  After this I can move onto to designing the second poster with similar characteristics to the first  Just outlining the primary target audience in the first poster and the secondary target audience in the second poster. This will add further progress to my campaign as well as allow me to move onto creating a website page for my campaign.


Lesson 9 Campaign Post:Wednesday 16th January 2013

In todays lesson I have successfully managed to complete both of my final posters on photoshopwith improvements  I have created a primary target audience poster as well as a secondary target audience poster so that my audience can know which poster is aimed at which audience  This shows I have made progress with my campaign. I have also received my provisional grade for the production side of my campaign which is a B so I know what I need to make improvements on.

My aims for next lesson are to move onto the production of my website pages. In doing this it will help me make further progress with my campaign as well as give my target audience more ways of help and information to deal with cyberbullying.


Lesson 10 Campaign Blog: Monday 21st January 2013

In todays lesson I moved onto the webpage part of my production in my campaign. My task was to analyse 3 camapaign webpages. So far I have successfully analysed 2 out of 3. One on cyberbullying and another on identity theft with different target audiences. In doing this I was able to identify the conventions used to make it a successful camapign webpage. And from this when it comes to creating my own website pages for my campaign I will know what conventions to use in order to appeal to my target audience as well as make my webpage successful.

For next leeson my primary aim is to finish this task in analysing one final webpage for a camapign, then I can move onto drafting my own webpages for a website to illustrate the aim and purpose of my campaign.

Lesson 11: Campaign Post: Wednesday 23rd January 2013

In todays lesson I managed to complete my last webpage analysis and review my current working progress for it. To improve it and make progress I added more media terminology and related to other conventions such as synergy and hyperlinks. I also consider how mainstream and niche the webpage was aimed at the primary and secondary target audiences.

My aim for next lesson is to draft plan webpages for my own website in order to make further progress with my campaign and to make my campaign more successful.

Lesson 12: Campaign Post: Monday 28th January 2013

In todays lesson I was able to start my flat plan webpage designs I have successfully created one of my 3 flat plan webpages. My partner in my group has to create 3 also so that we as a group have 6 completed flat plan webpages. To make my campaign more progressive and effective I need to have website pages and a website for my campaign that includes multiple convention in order to allow people to be engaged with my campaign as well as understand what the aim of it is to help teenagers who are victims of cyber bullying. I included multiple effective conventions in my webpage flat plan design such as synergy and hyperlinks as well as hotspots, a navigation and search bar. Using these conventions will make my website more effective.

My aim for next lesson it to complete another one of my 3 flat plan webpage designs. If this is successful I will have 2 completed flatplan designs then that leaves me with just one more to complete then I can move onto photoshopping them in order to make my campaign more progressive.

Lesson 13: Campaign Post: Wednesday 30th January 2013

In todays lesson I created another draft plan webpage and analysed it in detail to highlight why I included the content that is displayed. I annotated and analysed my webpage in order to show the use of certain conventions and what their purpose is as well as to highlight the aim and target audience of my campaign. Moreover I got given some feedback on the layout of my webpage drafts as well as the conventions used to highlight the aim and target audience of my campaign. The feedback was good as it showed that the conventions that I used highlight clearly the aim of my campaign as well as the purpose of the webpage.

My aim for next lesson is to complete my final draft plan webpage design. Then after that I will move onto creating the final webpages on photoshop an constructing my website. Once this has been completed I can move onto the evaluation of my campaign to see how successful I have been throughout the planning and production of my campaign.

Lesson 14: Campaign Post: Wednesday 6th February 2013

In todays lesson I looked over my coursework folder to highlight any improvements that I needed to make furthermore I annotated and analysed on of my flatplan webpage designs to highlight why I had used specific conventions and why I had decided on the things that I have included.

My aims for next lesson are to analyse and annotate m other to campaign flatplan webpages so that I can further progress with my campaign coursework. I also want to move onto my actual designing of 3 webpage designs.

Lesson 15 Campaign Post: Thursday 7th February 2013

Today I analysed an annotated my second flatplan webpage design now I have annotated and analysed 2/3 then I need to create a secondary draft of each of my webpage designs but differently and analyse them.

My aims for next lesson are to finish analysing and annotating my last webpage design then creating another 3 flatplan designs after this I will move onto photoshopping and creating these webpages and then move onto the evaluation of my campaign to judge how successful m campaign has been and what could have been improved.

Lesson 16 Campaign Post: Monday 12th February 2013

In todays lesson I finished analysing and annotating all of my flatplan webpage designs. I now have 3/3 completed and annotated webpage designs for my campaign. I have to create another 3 webpage designs just more creative in  a different design. then I will need to annotate them.

My aims for next lesson are to move onto creating another 3 differently designed webpage ideas and analysing them. After this I will move onto creating my website then onto the analysis of my campaign to show how successful I have been with my campaign.

Lesson 17: Campaign Post: Wednesday 13th February 2013

In todays lesson I created a redesign of one of my webpage design, however I still need to annotate and analyse it. Now I currently have 4/6 webpage designs. 3 of which are completed and analysed . The next 3 one of which I have done are the same as the first 3 just with a completly different design. I need to create these 2 other flatplan designs and annotate them, then I can move onto creating my website and evaluation of how successful my campaign has been.

Mt aim for next lesson is to annotate and analyse the webpage design I have mde today as well as to create another webpage design and annotaate that too so then I can move onto creating my website fully and finally onto the evaluation of how successful my camapign has been.

Lesson 18: Campaign Post: Monday 25th February 2013

In todays lesson I was able to create another webpage flatplan design. Now I have 5/6 webpage designs for my campaign website. I need to create another one and analyse it. I also need to analyse the one that I created today.

My aim for next lesson is to create my final webpage design and analyse it as well as analyse my webpage design that I created today. Then I can move onto creating my actual website and then my evaluation of how successful my campaign has been.


Lesson 19 Campaign Post: Wednesday 6th March 2013

In todays lesson I was able to  make some improvements on my primary and secondary poster for my campaign. We were also informed that we had to make a logo for a company to tie in with our campaign called life online. I drew up two flatplan logos for this and created a final one which I added to my webpages and my posters. I also have created 6 draft plan webpages and have analysed and annotated them. The improvements that I have made to my poster means that my poster appeals more to my target audience and better represents my campaign aim.

My aims for next lesson is to complete my webpage treatment and to begin creating my website. In doing this I will have a website up and running which will allow my target audience to gain information about my campaign and what they can do if they need help.

Lesson 20 Campaign Post: Monday 11th March 2013

In todays lesson I began production of my website for my campaign. I have decided to create 5 webpages to illustrate my campaign and will stick to some of the original designs of my flatplans with a few improvements and differences. Today with the production of my website, I have completed one of the 5 webpages, being the cyber safety webpage, which is designed to inform my target audience of how to combat against cyberbullying, and what they should do if they are being cyber bullied. My website connotes the aim of my campaign as well as appeals to my target audience because of the typography and the colour scheme used. I have decided to go with a blue colour scheme as my teen target audience of teenage boys are identified with this colour. Also blue represents futurism and technology.

My aims for next lesson are to carry on forward with my website and also move onto preparation for the exam as this will be the last lesson for production of our campaign, after I have finished the campaign production work of the website, i can move onto analysing my campaign and then divert my attention to the exam.

Lesson 21: Campaign Post: Tuesday 12th March 2013

Today I have continued the designing of the webpages of my website on wix. I have so far designed the cybersafety page. Today I managed to create a further 2 webpages. I created an FAQ page so that my target audience can ask questions and can receive answers about problems that they are concerned with. Moreover I have also created an about us page. Informing my audience of what screen savers is and what we are about and what the aim of our campaign is. This allows people to understand why there is a need for a campaign, as we as what we are trying to achieve and how we intend to help people.

My aim for next lesson is to carry on with exam revision and in my own time create the last page for my website. This will be the initial home page and I will refer to my flatplan designs for inspiration on how to make my website convey my aim and appeal to my target audience.

Lesson 22: Campaign Post: Wednesday 13th March 2013

Today I managed to finish the website for my campaign and moved on to preparation work for my exam. We were introduced to what we would be revising in course of the exam and we had a few tasks to complete to gain knowledge for the exam. This si my last campaign blog as I have finished all the production and research work for my campaign. I am finished with my campaign and am diverting my attention to the exam preparation.

My aims for the next 3 months are to study for my exam and in my own time make any improvements or changes to my campaign to improve my estimated grade.
